This project included an interior demolition and renovation of Bayer Healthcare’s administration offices located in Shawnee, Kansas. This was a multiple-story renovation in an occupied building that included demolition, metal studs and gypsum board, doors, frames, finish hardware, painting, architectural casework, flooring, acoustical ceiling, mechanical window treatments, fire protection, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work. COR Products were used for the millwork and art features throughout this project. COR Panels and sheet goods gave the project a unique, bold look and are used in the industry to help achieve LEED credits for low-emitting materials. One of the architectural features of this project was a central stairway constructed of COR Materials, stainless steel, and glass handrails.
The project was performed as a design/build, with Rand furnishing the engineering package, including the construction drawings.
