A complete renovation and revitalization of the existing two-story Army Reserve Center. Including automobile and heavy equipment parking lot additions and minor renovations to the maintenance shop. This was a Design-Build Contract.
This Design-Build project required complete interior demolition of the existing building along with the removal of the front/main exterior wall. There were many unforeseen conditions in the building and on-site that needed to be evaluated/priced and approved by the United States Corp of Engineers (USACE). The processes took a significant amount of time to resolve in order to proceed with the work. Ultimately, the project was completed on time. USACE also requires a more robust building commissioning process that was worked through with early planning and preparation.
