Sibley Generating Station Control Room Expansion

The Sibley Generating Station consisted of three coal-fired boilers that were controlled from two separate control rooms. The scope of this project was to construct a three story addition next to the existing Units 1 and 2 control room. The first floor of the addition housed a new simulator room used for training purposes. The second floor housed new DCS equipment for the new control rooms. On the third floor the existing Units 1 and 2 control room were renovated and expanded into the new addition. The new space housed two new control rooms, one for Units 1 and 2 and the other for Unit 3.
