UPS System Installation Robert J. Dole Federal Building

This project consisted of the installation of a new Caterpillar 500kw Diesel Generator Set to provide emergency power to the Robert J. Dole Federal Building. The existing retaining wall was demoed and reconfigured to accommodate a twelve inch thick concrete slab and generator set. In the electrical equipment room, the existing transformer was replaced with a more energy efficient transformer. A new ASCO Automatic Transfer Switch was installed to transfer power depending on available sources. New electrical panels and transient voltage suppression devices were installed on all seven floors.
